Oxygen Advantage – Buteyko Breathing
Gray believes the best way to optimize health is to practice something that you enjoy, keep it simple, focus on the breath, challenge yourself but don’t over do it! He aims to make your time here on The Breath Source fun, engaging, educational, and enlightening. He’ll lead a series of breathwork and functional movement sessions based on the principles of the Oxygen Advantage and Buteyko breathing techniques. You’ll explore the ‘everyday’ breath alongside practices that increase energy and mental clarity, and build resilience. And those that relax, restore, recover, and heal. You’ll also play with simple qigong flows which is a great way to easily and safely combine breath with movement. Gray trained with internationally-renowned coaches Patrick McKeown (breath) and Lee Holden (meditation, tai chi, and qigong). He had the privilege of guiding the breathwork sessions on the ASICS Movement For Mind program led by mental health researcher, Dr Brendon Stubbs. The program documented the mental wellbeing of a group of nearly 200 volunteers with remarkable results showing that 70% of participants were more active after completing the program.
